Best Hair at Cannes Film Festival 2019
Cannes Film Festival is always the most glamorous event of May on the French Riviera. This year, we noticed a focus on small shaped heads of attached hair, mostly chignons. We at Iles Formula documented a few of the styles that can be easily interpreted to everyday wear, social events or simply as inspiration for wedding hair.
Enjoy as you scroll through our pick of the best chignons and up do's at this years Cannes Film Festival 2019.
Elle Fanning wore this simple braided style beautifully which worked perfectly accessorized with fabric flowers to match the tones of her floral gown. So fresh for a summer event like Cannes, this look is one of our favorites.
How exquisite. This high necked white gown supported perfectly this tight pull-back hair on beauty Josephine Skriver. We also find the sharp forehead line with centre part extremely modern.
Then, we have Florence Pugh and her smashing top knot was a perfect combination of a strict with a poetic twist. Well mastered.
Ming Xi has the perfect hairline to support this gelled look with not a hair out of place. Often when the couture is way over the top, it is best to balance with simple and understated hair. Very tasteful, we loved it.
Dita Von Teese opted for a retro 40's quiff that suits her iconic style and Coco Rocha's quiff reminds us of an ice cream swirl adding that tiny touch of humor to her impeccable style.
Nice intricate lace work swirls were the added feature to Leomie Anderson's do. One needs nothing more.
Amber Hearst and Selena Gomez opted for a modern "rock" touch to their styles. The simplicity involved is what makes it remain modern ... not too much volume or styling product.
Last but not least, Izabel Goulart and Bella Hadid opted for softer looks with no trace of hair styling product. Both styles look soft, very Riviera feminine and fresh.
Tell us which is your favorite style. We chose them because we know they can be easily recaptured at home. If visiting a hairdresser, a picture speaks a thousand words, so don't forget to pin them to your Pinterest board for safe keeping.
