My week revolved around Cheryl Cole, Rankin, The Ham Yard Hotel, TRESemmé and London.
If you are planning to visit London, I totally recommend the The Ham Yard Hotel , This is a sister hotel to the Soho Hotel where I often stay – only opened one month ago. Everything is just perfect and the service is impeccable. The best start to your day will be with the hotel fresh breakfast serving homemade yogurt, homemade fresh fruit puree and home backed crunchy muesli all served in grandma style glass containers. The fresh juices were also yummy; my favorite was the apple and ginger. I especially like all the little extra touches as simple as the lavender pillow spray for a good night sleep in their big voluptuous comfortable beds.
Pavlova is my favorite desert, so of course when seeing that on the menu I directly opted for the peach melba version. I loved the purple pansy touch !
I was happy to see Cheryl again as we had two fun productive days together shooting with Rankin. I always love working with her, she is one of few people to whom I can do any hairstyle and it will always work on her.
While in London I also did a TRESemmé hair campaign. Several long days of hard work with several models but the results were satisfying.
I arrived home to a pleasant surprise with masses of my hydrangeas in bloom in hues of pink blues and mauves, also a welcome post gift from #BeautyWorks . I love their brushes – especially designed for extensions and wigs. They really are the best I’ve seen so far, designed in a way not to add unwanted pull on the seams of extensions and wigs. I also use them on normal heads of hair for smoothing over back combing etc .
Holidays are starting soon in Europe, summer has finally arrived. It is the perfect month of the year with a little calm in the fast lane of freelancing.
