IF: Tell us what you think is the biggest challenge in hairdressing today?
The biggest challenge I have is with YouTube and Instagram. People think that they can do our jobs.
IF: What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
Making people happy with a transformation or even with a simple blow-dry.
IF: Why did you choose the path of hairdressing and was it easy to fall into this work?
Since I was a little boy, I was attracted to old movies and fashion. If you love fashion, then you love hair. So yes it came easy for me.
IF: If you had not made the decision to be a hairdresser what would you have been?
Something involving me traveling around the world.
IF: What is your greatest strength?
IF: Your favorite hairdressing tools?
IF: Tell us about your relationship with Iles Formula. How you discovered us and which formula is your favorite?
I love everything about your product, from the smell to the packaging. It’s so simple and easy, my clients love it. I discovered it in New York at Bergdorf Goodman.
IF: What was the most challenging job you ever made?
Trying to learn English after living in Paris for 10 years.
IF: What was your worst hair moment and why…. privately or on set/stage or in the salon?
Doing a photoshoot in Switzerland with a very well known model and using my flat iron and the voltage was so different from America, I ended up burning her bangs completely from the roots!!
IF: If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be and why?
IF: Where do you pull hair inspiration from?
TCM, it’s my favorite movie channel. (Classic movies)
IF: Your advice to young hairdressers starting out?
Listen to your elder hairdressers, hairdressing is like a building. You need to start from the foundation and work your way up! And have PATIENCE!
