IF : What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?
LC : I love getting to work with creative people every day. I love to spend time with my clients enhancing their beauty. Getting to speak with people everyday is such a gift, I feel blessed to be able to do this for a living and I truly love each one of my clients.
IF : Why did you choose the path of hairdressing and was it easy to fall into this work?
LC : I am a 4th generation hairstylist. My sister does hair, my dad, aunt and uncle used to do hair, and my grandmother came from a family of 8 kids in which 6 of them did hair. My great grandfather was also a barber, so it was a no brainer that I would end up doing hair and loving it.
IF : If you had not made the decision to be a hairdresser what would you have been?
LC : Something creative for sure. Possibly something to do with food and cooking.
IF : What is your greatest strength?
LC : I make the best chocolate cake 🙂
IF : Your favorite hairdressing tools?
LC : Sheila Stotts Brush. It can comb though even the hardest hair easily.
IF : Tell us about your relationship with Iles Formula. How you discover us and which formula is your favorite?
LC : One of the stylists at the salon had given me a sample of the Haute Performance Shampoo and Haute Performance Conditioner. I’m always trying new products and when I went home and used it, I was blown away! I loved everything about it, the smell, the packaging, the way it made my hair feel and look amazing… I was hooked!
IF : What was the most challenging job you ever made?
LC : I feel like every day is a challenge. It makes the day fun and keeps me on my toes.
IF : What was your worst hair moment and why… privately or on set or in the salon?
LC : The very first haircut I ever gave a friend when I was still in Beauty School. I could not get the bottom straight I kept cutting and cutting and kept getting shorter and shorter.
IF : If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be and why?
LC : The Queen or Princess Katherine (I’m British).
IF : Where do you pull hair inspiration from?
LC : Instagram is my go to. I love changing up who I follow to keep my feed fresh and different.
IF : Your advice to young hairdressers starting out?
LC : Work hard. Don’t jump around to different Salons. Stay loyal and focused. Don’t talk bad about anyone you have worked for or with. Be positive helpful and hardworking.
