1. Tell us what you think is the biggest challenge in hairdressing today other than Covid-19?

The biggest challenge today is being allowed to create a “look” specifically for a client when clients are so over-influenced by the latest trend on Instagram and Tik Tok.

2. What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

I love the consult! Getting into a woman’s head, figuring out what she’s all about & customizing a plan for her color, cut & style.

3. Why did you choose the path of hairdressing and was it easy to fall into this work?

After a 22 year career as a Broadway performer in NYC, I tore my calf muscle and my best friend happened to be the manager of Garren, NY and he suggested I come work the front desk while I was out for a year… after 3 months I enrolled in night cosmo school and started apprenticing during the day.

4. If you had not made the decision to be a hairdresser what would you have been?

I would still be doing broadway.
