Wendy Rowe is a world-renowned makeup artist and beauty expert. She is currently the Global Creative Director & Make-up Artist for Max Factor and has worked with many key fashion and beauty brands over the course of her esteemed career. Wendy was previously Artistic Consultant to Burberry Beauty with whom she worked for sixteen years, developing iconic and innovative products. In her role as International Make-up Artist, Wendy consistently works with leading fashion and beauty publications, including all issues of Vogue and trendsetting magazines such as Self Service and Allure as well as with celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Sienna Miller.
With a refreshingly unconventional vision, Wendy understands what women need to have amazing skin and creates products that are uncomplicated and easy to use. IF: What is your relationship with hair?
For me hair completes the look and creates a silhouette.
IF: What would you say is the best decade for hair inspiration?
It has to be the 70’s!
IF: How did you hear about Iles Formula?
Many of my good friends are hair stylists and they always keep me up to date with the latest hair products that they love.
IF: What is the most inspiring thing you’ve learned at your job?
I am very lucky to get to work with creative people every day which is always inspiring for me.
IF: Do you read direction for use and the composition of a product?
Yes, I always do I think its super important and the only way to get the best result out of your product.

IF: Your favourite shower dance?
I do love to dance but not in the shower, I prefer to sing!
IF: What makes you the most happy?
Music and exercise, it’s so important to move your body.
IF: If you were to share one beauty tip with us today, what would it be?
Always take your makeup off and make sure you are cleaning your skin properly at night.
IF: What does being a woman in 2020 entail for you?
I think 2020 has been tough so far for everyone, but let’s move forward with a better sense of unity and equality for everyone.
IF: If you didn’t do the job you do now, what do you think you would be doing?
I love doing anything creative especially arts and crafts, so maybe a crafts teacher would be fun or even set design!
IF: Which celebrities do you think are wearing great hair at the moment and why?
I love Sienna Miller’s style, her hair always looks so cool and effortless.
IF: How are you spending your time at home in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic?
Cleaning the house to make space for newness to come in. I’m learning to really appreciate the small things and taking time plan for the big things in the future. Also lots of cooking.
