Men’s Grooming has finally made its way to the forefront the last few years, and this makes us very happy. There is nothing better than a perfectly shaped haircut on a man that accentuates all of his best features. Even though gentlemen are typically low maintenance, we can’t forget about the guys when it comes to sharing trending haircuts and products. This is what this journal is all about, Men’s Haircuts And Grooming Products For 2017/2018.
To start, we wanted to share some Men’s Haircuts that are definitely the coolest of the moment. Let us know your opinion, but we believe your are going to love them as much as we do.

Pictured above are two images we are loving, it’s a skin fade, with a hard part line stamped in, and then either shorter or longer length on top. This cut can be worn with any texture of hair, and the length on top is also up to your preference. These are great stylish haircuts for men, but the option can also be used for a professional look. Most men are wearing some variation of this cut right now, as it really is one of the most sought after haircuts.
While the above images are styled with a more flexible and moveable product, the man haircut above is sculpted using a stronger holding gel that adds shine and loads of hold.
What we are loving about this medium length variations of this cut, is the way they worked with the natural texture. A bit of wave or curl adds a whole new dimension to the shape, and it also makes for easier styling. Our Iles Formula Finishing Serum is a great option for styling this texture of hair because it keeps the curls or waves hydrated, which in turn will provide better end results.
Another cooler than cool option is one of the Men’s Haircuts shown above. We love the natural texture of the first image and if done right, a man bun can definitely still be worn. Most importantly however, is that both of these shapes make a big statement paired with a well groomed beard. If your going to wear a beard guys, be sure to keep it groomed and cleaned up. Even the mountain man vibe needs to be cut at every haircut appointment. Which should occur on average of every 3-6 weeks depending how grown out you can tolerate. Any more than 6 weeks is not recommended as the shape that has been created has most likely been lost by this point.
This nice men Haircut is great if you typically don’t like to go with skin showing on the the sides and in back. This is cut to fingers length. The length on top is also up to your preference, it can be worn longer or shorter, curly or straight, swooping down into the face or up and away like a pompadour. The choice is really yours. So play around and see what is the best fit for you.
Ladies, if you are reading this we know you agree, there is nothing better than a well groomed man with grey or salt and pepper hair. It’s a sign of experience, knowledge and a care for his appearance, wouldn’t you say ladies? So if your a guy and this is you, then here are a few options we couldn’t stop swooning over. Three variations of lengths, and again all wearing a different well groomed beard.
Is longer hair your thing? We love the healthy length on our friend and avid believer in Iles Formula Riccardo Simonetti and equally love the long curls pictured above. Our best tip if your going with a longer hairstyle, is be sure to use products that will keep your hair healthy and hydrated. Our Iles Formula Shampoo and Conditioner is not just for women. It’s actually ideal for men as well. Hair and scalp health is very important for both men and women to ensure minimal hair damage and loss. So guys, if your washing your hair with your bar soap, its definitely time to switch that up.
Ok gentlemen, now is the time for us to recommend some of our favorites and must haves when it comes to grooming tools and products.
For starters, it’s always best to be sure you are using quality hair-care products for your hair and scalp health. Sulphate free is ideal and that is why we recommend our formulas. They are effective for all hair types and will keep your hair and scalp hydrated and healthy.
Equally as important to what you put on your hair and scalp, is what you are using for your skin. Age gracefully by keeping your skin clean and hydrated. A product brand we love for men’s grooming is Baxter. The Daily Face Wash, and Under Eye Complex for reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s the perfect anti aging solution. Most importantly, don’t forget to moisturize to keep your skin hydrated. Be sure to choose a moisturizer with an SPF for extra protection.
Pomades are a great choice for styling many of the men’s haircuts above. Not all pomades are created equal, so be sure to choose a pomade that is right for your desired result. Pomades provide flexible hold, so if you are looking for added shine or strong hold, you may want to move into a gel for more sculpted looks. These pomade’s are also by Baxter and we recommend giving them a try.
What’s currently in your tool kit guys? You should definitely have a comb and brush to be able to detail your styles on a daily basis. It’s not a bad idea to also have a set of clippers and/or trimmers in your arsenal. Why, because if you are unable to get into the barber or hairstylist, you will at least be able to clean up your neck or around your ears. The trimmers are also great for keeping your beard and eyebrows groomed in between hair services as well. We love this collection of grooming tools by Esquire Grooming.
What about a hair dryer guys? Do you currently own and use one? Many of today’s men’s haircuts require a bit of height in the top for the finished style. Without a hairdryer it will be very difficult to achieve this. We wanted to share a dryer we were just introduced to for men’s hairstyles. Also from Esquire, we think this dryer is brilliant because first and foremost it is compact. But second, it is very user friendly and if you notice has a brush built in. How great is that? Literally, all you do is just brush your hair and while you brush it, it is drying the hair and giving you the volume you need. Don’t forget to add gel or mousse first to create the hold and foundation.
