NY Fashion Week, The Best of Hair.
Speaking of front row, I’ve chosen my favorite hair from the past days of NY fashion week.
Orlando Pita did this easy windswept half up style for Michael Kors. Pita is known for his innovative styling approach to classic styles like the bouffant and bun. This was a great match for the Michael Kors luxury focused brand.
Diane Von Furstenburg’s pretty 80’s inspired curls was created by Orlando Pita. Another example of Pita’s modern interpretation of a classic style. There will be a big tendency towards curls and warm blondes and reds in autumn shades this fall season. If you are smart, copy the curling recipe snapped here as model Karlie Kloss was rehearsing for the show .
Most spoken about was Kayne West’s show with its very controversial fashion look. Euguene Souleiman, the inspired London stylist whose famous collaborations with Calvin Klein, Balenciaga, and Givenchy are well known, possibly did the most creative hair at the shows. Even this example of one of his more simple styles is distinctive and incredibly strong.
Also, displaying his awesome versatility and provocative sensibility in creating this wonderful post punk Skunk look for forward thinking and spirited designer Yamamoto.
