Paris Couture Shows

There were years I was heavily involved backstage on the hair teams of many parisian shows. Some of them are unforgettable memories but these days I’m  more and more involved with private bookings  doing hair of the celebrities attending the shows.
This year I did it for 5 of Chanel clients and it’s how I ended up in Natalia Vodianova spectacular apartment in Place des Invalides, one of my favorite spots in Paris with a direct view on the Eiffel Tower.
Natalia wanted her hair very natural ,so i picked up from the base she had woken with and added a soft loose wave. Her effortless hair added a certain modernity to her otherwise classic but  very beautiful Chanel suit .

From Natalia’s house I was not far from the Park Hyatt Hotel just across the Seine where I had to meet Alexa.  She had in her room  3 most magnificent vases of pale pink Peonies …they looked amazing and the smell was unforgettable .
Alexa wanted to attach her hair so we decided on this naturally textured french roll has a 60’s touch to it with a modern effortless texture . I think it suited her high neck laced blouse that she cleverly added to her blue velvet Chanel dress
I was happy that the press made many nice comments on her chignon. So  not working backstage I do get some press cover and I travel to the best address in Paris with no stress.
I like these days a lot.

      Hey Wendy,

I love what you have done with Natalia Vodianova’s hair, the idea of using her bed hair as a base is very innovative in my eyes, you usually see Hairdressers either washing the hair and starting from scratch or pulling the hair into a very unnatural form.

      Very awesome work,

      Kind regards
