This week, we are going to talk about Paris Haute Couture Week 2016.
When doing an article on Haute Couture, I’m always searching for the most avant-garde hair from beauty teams, and this year I wasn’t disappointed. From the helmut heads of Givenchy to the “Queen of Hearts” heads of Valentino, the extremes were evident and very refreshing.
Guido Palau created this artistic head with a perfect eye for balance. He never disappoints us.
Eugene Souleiman is another “never to disappoint” with his patchwork of feathers on textured hair and gelled side curls.
This collection was a beautiful “Queen of Hearts” story. The simple yet groomed ponytail was perfectly accessorized in a way that created, although very modern, an essence of Elizabethan era. Those small golden threads that have been placed at intervals around the face line were super effective. I think it’s my favorite couture hair this season.
These fairy floss do’s had humor. What I love most is that ribbon, don’t you just love it ? I could imagine it giving a simple ponytail such elegance.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Auburn hair was evident and we saw a lot of variation.
Iris Van Herpen
Her couture is exquisite. These little false bangs give the arty sharpness to her breath taking couture.
Simple textured ponytail, not avant-garde but there is something about this almost unwashed hair and these spectacular gowns.
What was your favorite ? Some of them are not very adaptable to streets but neither is Haute Couture. Paris Haute Couture Week 2016 is a platform for beauty teams to get creative; in my eyes, it is “a feast for creativity”.
