Paris Couture Week..Best of Hair

It was mostly about ponytails. Haute couture excelled this year especially in the beauty department. The season set off with the successful comeback of John Galliano for Maison Margiela. Eugene Souleiman excelled with this creative ponytail wrapped with tulle bandage for Galliano’s Haitian brides, and a head cap of gold leaf blended onto softly waved hair, not forgetting his gelled to death javelin ponytail for Yohji Yamamoto resembling a weaponed head.

This romantic braid was created by Luigi Murenu for Givenchy. I just love how the hairline has been jelled and combed to create a lace work. So easy to do and very effective.

The colors that were present throughout most shows were of sugared almonds, soft pastels of pinks, greens and whites. Mostly super feminine couture with meters of tulle.

At the show of Giambattista Valli, the hair is a simple more conservative ponytail with feminine ribbons.

These Dior boots have to be given a mention along with Guido Paulo’s 70 inspired metal looped ponytails.
How’s this for a bride ? One can always count on Victor and Rolf for an extravagant silhouette.
The best mise en scene was for #Chanel . It took 6 months to create this paper mache flower garden. All set up with engines that bought the closed garden to full bloom during the show, spectacular ! Karl Lagerfeld said he woke one morning with the vision of this garden, hence it was created  for Chanel couture 2015.
