Wendy Iles' Hair Tips - How To Make Your Hair Grow Faster & Stronger by Iles Formula
Here, at a reader's request, I have an article on "How to make your hair grow faster and stronger".

It's possible and does exist perfect long hair. The above photo was hair I prepared for a publicity campaign in Italy. The model was chosen for her long hair. I trimmed around 3 cm off the length and added a chemical-free colour shine rinse to even out her hair colour as the ends were so much lighter than mid-lengths and ends, which made them look dry and unhealthy. As you see the hair is perfect, no extensions used, it is all her own.

Firstly, If you feel that your hair is at a standstill and just not getting any longer, I'd definitely suggest checking the ends for broken or split ends. These need to be trimmed about every 6 to 8 weeks even if growing your hair longer. The most common problem is that as the hair is growing from the roots it's breaking at the ends, something we tend to forget.

Biotin is a supplement that greatly increases the growth of protein and keratin in nails and hair. Taken on a daily basis, it will aid over time to strengthen your hair. This you can find in health food stores. Vitamins like A, B2 and E will also help. Cod liver oil supplements are also extra good for hair growth. One of my readers Sarah suggested vitamin D. She notices that when having a healthy dose of sunshine her hair appears to grow faster. Although I know vitamin D is for healthy bones, it does aid in a cell to cell communication throughout the body, perhaps having an effect on the flow of blood circulation to the hair shaft.

Although we all love cotton and linen natural fibre pillowcases, they still can catch the ends of long hair and add to the cause of breakage. Try swapping for a silk or satin pillow cover to avoid excess friction on the hair.

Protect the hair from extreme windy and sunny conditions. The easiest way is to tie the hair in a chignon with ends tucked well underneath, well away from the weather, or simply wear a hat, but be sure if the hair is long that the ends are up under it.

Try to avoid extreme and constant heat on the ends of your hair because they will become weak. Wear a hat and get your hair tucked away a couple of days a week to give the ends a break. You can also try to use hair protecting serums on ends.

Choose a high-performance shampoo and conditioner.  If you are not sure, ask your hairdresser's advice. In almost all instances, conditioner needs to be used on long hair, and always after chemical treatments. When choosing a shampoo, look for sulfate, paraben and silicone-free.  Always distribute your conditioner through to the ends of your hair, a wide-tooth comb or wet brush is essential for this. For long hair, I always leave a little conditioner in the ends when rinsing. Do this by holding ends of hair in the palm of your hand away from the water source, while rinsing well the roots, then give light rinse on ends.

Iles Formula have a 3 step system high-performance shampoo and conditioner plus the protective finishing serum that protects hair against heated tools, UV, colour fade and humidity.  Read the reviews, these high-end products work on all hair types ... the more damaged the hair the more phenomenal the performance.

Good luck
