"IT GIRL" LINDSEY WIXSON
I loved working with Lindsey Wixson. Not only is she beautiful and kind but she also has fantastic hair, thick and strong. I especially liked her new haircut, like on her profile photo on the top left - shagged 70's look. My brief was "Dolce Vita", so we had to make this trendy cut disappear.
The trick to do these classic looks like "Dolce Vita" 50's shapes is to keep it modern. I believe this comes from the texture you create. I never use hairspray, so this also helps to keep the hair alive, moving and modern.
Lindsey arrived on set with wet hair, so I first dried it to get her own natural wave in place. From this, I randomly selected pieces to place rollers for volume and support, and blow-dried others with a round brush. I then let this sit in place while make-up was done.
Once my base was set, I created the style mostly with a rake comb and also using my fingers. I shorted the bottom length by rolling up the nape area around my finger and pinning down. I left some layers slightly longer towards the front to give a disheveled look.
As usual campaigns are confidential until released, but once the images are published I will post them for you .
