Inspiration for Cheryl's Red Carpet Hairdo
When Cheryl Cole was speaking about putting her hair up in a bun for Cannes Film Festival red carpet , I knew I had to find a way to make it different from the "déja vu" messy buns that we have seen all over the carpet during the past seasons.
My first reaction was to recreate the modern textured low chignon from the D&G Fall Winter 2013/2014 fashion show. I had to adapt this look to Cheryl and also keep in mind the image of L'Oreal UK who brought us to Cannes this year. The result was a less rough and a more structured texture. She looked phenomenal. The proportions of her hair worked perfectly with Monique L'Huillier's dress.
As I watched Cheryl walk the carpet, I was grateful for the #Elnett hairspray that helped keep her hairstyle in tact. The weather for her walk was horrid, with rain and lots of wind. What I always like about this hairspray is that it does not go sticky when it rains and it brushes out perfectly.
Thanks to all of you Cheryl followers and for all the great critics in magazines on her hair style. Your enthusiasm was overwhelming.
