Paris Couture Week is the place to go if you want to see fantasy and function intertwine into a visually pleasing paradise. Who better to make us dream when it comes to avant-garde and couture ….Paris! In this week’s journal we are taking some of The Best Avant Garde Hair Looks From Paris Couture week and sharing them with you right here on our journal. Big volume and multi-color is an exaggerated take on years precedent that have been quite undone and calm in comparison. If you are ready to take a visual journey that will get your creative juices flowing then keep following along.
GUIDO PALAU never ceases to please. This over exaggerated volume makes us think volume may be on its way back. There was definitely a thread of something 60’s going on here. Remember those sumptuous flowers bonnets for that era. We flashed on the marigold turban.

Maison Martine Margiela John Galliano
EUGENE SOULEIMAN is another master at his craft. This graphic rainbow bob was spectacular with the collection of layers on layers John Galliano curated for the house. Were as at the House of Valentino opted for flowery couture turbans, Margiela opted for plastic helmuts and painted scalps as the couture accessory.

SAM MCKNIGHT added a rock touch to Chanel this season. It’s been seen before but we thought it a powerful idea as it took the couture to a trendy almost street theme that worked well.

ANDRE CUETO SAAVEDRA was the hair stylist responsible for this niche couture brand. The proportion of the small head silhouhette with the shape of the couture was absolutely in flow. We loved it.
