Sometimes you feel like you want bangs, only to decide almost immediately after you cut them that you have changed your mind. Before you completely take the leap to cutting bangs, it may be a good idea to play around with False Bangs first. In this weeks journal, we're sharing an example of false bangs, how to find the perfect match and where to buy them.
Freja Beha Erichsen False Bangs
I've taken model Freja Beha Erichsen as an example. You will see much of Freja featured in the Maybeline commercials on my website. I love working on Freja's hair, she has a ready to go style with the perfect natural waves. To be honest, the least I do with Freja's hair, the better it becomes. Our Iles Formula Finishing Serum is used to style her hair, because it literally does what I want it to all day long.
Here is an example of how even the most perfect hair can be changed with the addition of a false bangs as Americans tend to name it. The best are of course the ones made from human hair and can be purchased from most good wig shops with clips already attached for easy clip in. If in fact you are unable to find them, you can always make your own if you are savvy like that, simply by purchasing a weft of hair, sewing on the clips, and cutting them to suit or having your hairstylist cut them to your preference.
In the case of Freja's short bang (photo right) her own longer bang is braided away to the side under the false fringe. An important tip to remember is to find the perfect color match, then no one will ever suspect the bang is false. Styling them to fit with your own hair is also very important. To do this, you will need to choose the right tool for styling. Check out one of our previous posts to learn about which tools are best for certain styles HERE.
