IF: What would you term as your specialty within your trade?

I really love creating healthy hair with color. Less is more. And my specialty is to make people feel good.

IF: What’s the most enjoyable part of your job?

When a customer leaves my salon with a ’beauty-boost’, and you can feel the joy and self-confidence beaming from within.

IF: Why did you choose the path of hairdressing and was it easy to fall into this work?

I have always had an interest in beauty and fashion, and besides that I love to work with different people every day. I started working at a hair salon at the age of 12, so it has always felt very natural for me to be in the hairdressing environment.

IF: If you had not made the decision to be a hairdresser what would you have been?

Ever since I found out that being a singer or a princess wasn’t realistic, I’ve wanted to be a hairstylist. And to be honest, I really wouldn’t know what else to do! It has always been my calling in life.

IF: What is your greatest strength?

My biggest strength is my will and precision. I’m also a very calm person, who almost never gets stressed – which is a huge bonus in a busy salon environment.

IF: Your favorite hairdressing tools?

It must be my Dyson hairdryer at the moment.

IF: Tell us about your relationship with Iles Formula. How you discovered us and which formula is your favorite?

The first time I was introduced to Iles Formula was by Pernille from the Danish distributor, Oneblackcar. I fell in love with the fact that such a compact collection could cater to so many different hair types, the quality of the products and their superior performance, all without ever weighing down the hair.

After a while, I took a trip to Paris to meet Wendy herself. Her passion and expertise vibrate from her core. There was no doubt that I wanted this brand in my salon. My favorite product, which I use every day, is the Iles Formula Finishing Serum.

IF: What was the most challenging job you ever made ?

During my hairdressing education, I was backstage at Copenhagen Fashion Week where I assisted the stylist because they had their hands full and needed help. It was very challenging and the pace was one I hadn’t come across before!

IF: What was your worst hair moment and why, privately or on set/stage or in the salon?

I once nipped one of my customer’s ears with my cutting scissors. It bled horribly, and she almost passed out.

IF: If you could style anyone’s hair, who would it be and why?

I would love to style Cher!

IF: Where do you pull hair inspiration from?

I pull most of my inspiration from social media, especially Pinterest.

IF: Your advice to young hairdressers starting out?

Be true to yourself and your own style!
