Before there was a bottle, there was a formula.
In fact, before Iles Formula ever became a brand, it was simply what people called the private formulas of Wendy with a nickname those Iles Formulas. I was travelling the world with 3 private formulas in my kit.
They were in ordinary laboratory bottles — no name, no beautiful packaging, no marketing, no promise written on the front. Just pure performance my way.
During those years, I was creating hair for global campaigns and working with some of the most demanding hair in the world. The people sitting in my chair were often VIP's , actresses,models and artists whose hair had to look exceptional.
My private formulas became my secret weapon. The name “Iles Formula” actually started on set. People would ask my agent, "please have her bring those Iles formulas.”
That was the moment I realized something special was happening. The formulas had found their name, before they ever became a brand.
The confirmation came every time someone sat in my chair and after experiencing the products would say: “Oh my gosh, what is that? My hair feels astonishing.”
For me, those reactions meant everything because they came from people who had access to the best beauty products and experts in the world. They were not responding to packaging. They were responding to performance.
That became the foundation of Iles Formula. No trends. No unnecessary products.
