Last week, our founder Wendy Iles was in Cannes for the Film Festival creating some of the most stunning red carpet hairstyles. Two of which were on the beautiful Izabel Goulart. We received such great reviews on each of the looks, that we decided we would share How To Get Izabel Goulart's Hairstyles from Cannes Film Festival with you.
The first look was this soft and loose Bohemian hairstyle. The How To for this style is really quite simple.
1./ Izabel's hair was first prepped by cleansing with our Iles Formula Shampoo and treated using our Iles Formula Conditioner, giving her instant repair, which was ideal for the next steps.
2./ Next, Wendy applied our Iles Formula Finishing Serum and allowed the hair to dry naturally. This created a lived in texture.
3./ From there, Wendy used a GHD curling iron, and randomly selected sections alternating the direction of the curls. This created a more natural end result.
And she is ready to go! We just love how perfectly it paired with her Cavalli gown and makeup created by Ismael Blanco.
When we saw this next creation by Wendy on Izabel, our hearts melted. We thought Voluminous Waves was the perfect name for this look. Want to know How To Get Izabel Goulart's Hairstyles from Cannes Film Festival, then just keep reading.
1./ All you will need is a Dyson hairdryer or dryer of your choice, Iles Formula Finishing Serum, long section clips, and Babyliss-Pro hair tong.
2./ Start by applying Iles Formula Finishing Serum to damp hair to protect the hair from the heated tools and humidity. This will deliver that silky lusciousness that is the signature finish of the brand.
3./ Use a round brush and your dryer to create smoothness and build volume into the hair. This step is very important, as it sets up the foundation for the hairstyle.
4./ Next, use a medium sized barrel curling tong, and curl the hair taking vertical sections from the face toward the centre back. Clip each section up in an invisible roller shape and allow it to sit until hair is cooled. This is an important step to ensure a long lasting effect and great bounce to the style.
5./ Once hair has cooled, Wendy suggests breaking down the curl to make it look more “easy”. This method is so simple, but yet works it's magic while you are finishing your make up or getting dressed. It should only needs to sit 10 minutes. To do this, section the hair into 2 sides, turning the hair all together towards the centre back, and into a long sausage shape.
6./ After you have done that, attach those sausage sections on top of head for about 10 minutes.
7./ Finally, drop the hair down and shake into place. Wendy mentions, she did not brush Izabel's hair, it just fell into this abundance of waves with the exact amount of volume she asked for.
The result... These voluminous red carpet waves that have a modern “easiness" to them. For the final step, Wendy finished with a little more of our Finishing Serum smeared over outer surface. This settled down fluffy hairs and protected the hair from the evenings humidity. Izabel will just shake her head now and again, and use her hands during the evening to squash up the volume. If ones base is perfect, then this hairstyle is very low maintenance, just shake and go. No brushing and no hairspray. It's like a dream.
