Iles Formula Launches In Sydney And Melbourne
Iles Formula launches in Sydney and Melbourne
I've done several Iles Formula press launches around the globe, but this press launch was special and an extremely emotional one for me as I was bringing Iles Formula home to Australia.
Monday started with "one on one" sessions with selected press at Edwards and Co in Surrey Hills. Press and beauty editors experienced first hand the Iles Formula treatment. Lots of smiles that day with sumptuous lustrous locks.
The following morning we invited more beauty editors and bloggers to a delicious breakfast at Gratia Cafe, Sydney's first "profit for purpose" restaurant cafe.
The turn out was exceptional and I thank all who supported both these Iles Formula events.
Meeting our Ambassador Salons
I also had the wonderful privilege to meet and greet many of the salon owners and artists already using and loving Iles Formula. I enjoyed our exchange immensely, we have a great team of professionals around us and are very pleased to be part of their beautiful salons, concept boutiques and online stores.
A-list team as we repair locks after locks
Peter Thomsen of Chelsea Haircutters and Craig Walker of Edwards and Co Salon in Sydney helped me with the delightful work of delivering instant hair repair to all the editors and press. They both use and love Iles Formula and are as passionate about its performance as I am.
Staff training into the Iles Formula hair philosophy
Education into using Iles formula is important. I always try when possible especially with salons to teach the staff the tips and tricks into driving Iles Formula for benchmark performance. I always get a thrill out of seeing these hairdresser's enthusiasm when they see the results they can achieve.
Three generations of hairdressing
The cherry on the cake was meeting up with a man I once trained Micheal Strugnel and with a man Michael once trained Barney Gleeson. Micheal and Barney are two of Melbourne's finest haircutters.
Here we are at the opening of Micheal's new salon with Iles Formula Australian representative Julie Fausett.
What a small world ...
The week finished with a weekend to see my family in Tasmania. The more I travel the more I see, the more I realize I was born in paradise. There is something to say about returning to your roots, for me it’s returning to the farm where I grew up. It’s almost the perfect season as at Christmas most of the farm is in bloom with opium poppies that my father and brother grow for medicinal contracts. It’s quite spectacular when the poppies are in bloom with thousands of soft mauve flower heads blowing in the breeze. These will be harvested around February then transformed into morphine.
It’s certainly not enough time just a weekend, but I take what I can get. I never tire of this island and hope one day now that Iles Formula is in Australia it will bring me back more often. Tomorrow I say goodbye to my family in Tasmania and head back to the Iles Formula office in Paris. A week to catch up there which I also call home, before heading off to Los Angeles until Christmas.
If you are living in Australia and New Zealand, here you can locate our shops and salons.
