Iles Formula Women : Loni Baur

Iles Formula is pleased to introduce you to makeup artist Loni Baur. Represented in Paris by Artlist and in Germany by Ballsaal. Loni resides in Hamburg, juggling perfectly her much in demand career and family as mother to her two small children.

Loni's work is admirable, moving from minimal to avant-garde makeup with ease and speed. Loni Baur understands the entire spectrum of beauty, art and fashion.

"It's wonderful to watch her create" says Wendy Iles, our co-Founder who has worked alongside Loni on many occasions. "Her talented brush strokes are mesmerizing to watch".

Loni also takes part in the Runway Shows in Paris and New York for designers such as Chanel, Gaultier and Balanciaga amongst others.

IF : Your favorite destination?
LB : Berlin & New York.

IF : Best fashion Inspiration decade?
LB : Late 80's and 90's.

IF : If you were to treat yourself what would it be?
LB : To start the morning with a good workout, spend a couple hours in a spa afterwards and play with my kids for the rest of the day.

IF : Your ultimate dinner party guests?
LB : Adam Levine.

IF : Relationship with your hair?
LB : A life time process to find the perfect color.

IF : How did you hear about Iles Formula?
LB : Through Wendy Iles herself and all those people that admire her.

IF : Your favorite shower dance?
LB : Booty Dance with James Brown and "I feel good".

IF : What makes you the most happy?
LB : Sunshine and some hours "off duty".

IF : If you were to share one beauty tip with us today, what would it be?
LB : Be happy, get a good sleep, stay away from too much coffee and try to keep your skin moisturized at all times!

IF : What advice do you have for those Mothers wanting both career and motherhood?
LB : I feel really blessed to have this successful career. I would love to say that Wendy Iles was such a great inspiration and influence on my decisions managing family and career. She did it well and her advice encouraged me.
It always feels so natural to work as I really love my job and doing make up was always my biggest passion. When my two children came into my life, I had to really get myself organized even better. Of course, you are not as free and independent anymore… But looking at your kids eyes is so powerful and gives you so much energy.
So I think the combination having it both - the career and being a mother - is the best that could happen to me. It made me stronger at the end because you have no time to waste and you need to focus all the time on the exact moment you are living in.
You need to get yourself organized very well and be disciplined with your schedule and for sure you need a great and loving team around you to support you. I have a nanny living with us plus the grandmother of the kids in the neighbourhood to imbalance my absence.
It can be stressful sometimes but I would´t want it any other way!

IF : What is being a woman in 2017?
LB : I totally love it… Free and independent with an educated opinion.
