This week on Iles Formula Women segment, we are pleased to introduce you to make up artist Yasmin Heinz, global pioneer in the beauty and fashion industry. Her career has spanned over several decades. A tribute to her work has been celebrated in an English coffee table beauty and art book "Elements", her second book which will be released in September 2017 by Prestel Publisher/Random House. IF : What is the most inspiring thing you've learned at your job?
YH : Being an artist is a really emotional lifestyle and job. I love to inspire and empower others with my makeup showing them their beauty by helping them to understand how. Makeup can be your best friend. Feel confident, try the unknown and have fun – smiling at me is my biggest reward.
IF : Your favorite destination?
YH : New York, Paris and Tokyo.
IF : Best fashion Inspiration decade?
YH : All about “The Twenties” and today's recycling decade.
IF : If you were to treat yourself what would it be?
YH : A perfect Wellness Treat from head to toe and a Hair Do by Wendy Iles on the day of my September book launch in London.
IF : Your ultimate dinner party guests?
YH : My family and friends from all over the world – that would be a divine dinner party.
IF : Relationship with your hair?
YH : Without Iles Formula products I am lost in damaged, dry and split ends hair.
IF : How did you hear about Iles Formula?
YH : I was one of the very first people asked to test it. Today my hair is healthy, shiny, lustrous and manageable.
IF : Do you read direction for use?
YH : Bien sûr.
IF : Do you read the composition of a product?
YH : I always do - this is part of my job being a makeup artist. I test all beauty products before using them on one of my clients. And I dearly love your ingredients.
IF : Your favorite Iles Formula product?
YH : All 3 of them – a perfect match.
IF : Your favourite shower dance?
YH : Fig shower gel from Korres- Greek’s first homeopathic pharmacy. A natural dance sensation.
IF : What makes you the most happy?
YH : I am happy that my English coffee table beauty and art book will be released in September 2017 by Prestel Publisher. IF : If you were to share one beauty tip with us today, what would it be?
YH : Beauty has always been a sort of self empowerment giving a new identity. Sometimes it is about cleaning up your mood making yourself happy in any way you can. The most important is - always stay authentic and be positive.
IF : What is being a woman in 2017?
YH : Being a woman in 2017 means fighting for diversity; follow your dreams, try the unknown and break the rules. Women today are out there to advocate for you and stand up for your rights, plotting how to fight those battles we have yet to win. Each generation of girls is able to do more than their mothers before them. When women come together, we are unstoppable and unbeatable.
